Hydra SRVVVRS [Survive(a)rs] are a fun experiment where we aimed to design earphones which are durable enough to prolonged use.
We're nuts about audio quality, but we go through so many pairs of expensive earphones that we started wondering how we could make them more durable. A primary goal was 'no design for the sake of it' and we think that shows with our elegant design.
When it came time to model these simple beauties we tried to aim for as seamless a look as possible. Ported driver housings allow for relief of excess pressure. Oversized and flattened earbuds with subtle ridges ensure a comfortable and snug fit.
While investigating materials for use we decided on lightweight aluminium housings. Coupled with flat, tangle-resistant, cables this would make for exceptionally hardy and lightweight earphones. We wanted to go one step further and rubberising the entire assembly rather than just the cables should ensure a much more resilient set with superior shock resistance.
The raised butt on the plug should be high enough to clear the access ports on most mobile devices and a unified controller would incorporate volume buttons and an indicator LED too.

We're quite proud of these and the response thus far has been really positive. We're so flattered that we're investigating producing some to share with our fans.
